Job Summary:
Cashiers play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service by processing transactions efficiently and accurately. They are responsible for maintaining a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring a seamless shopping experience for customers. In addition to processing transactions, Cashiers are expected to proactively seek product knowledge to provide customers with information and identify sales opportunities. They must follow all company policies and procedures to minimize shrink and ensure a safe working environment. A Head Cashier will oversee the checkout area, expediting price checks, approving transactions, and providing first-level escalation for customer issues. They will also assist in the supervision, coaching, and training of other Front End Associates by participating in the training of new Cashiers and utilizing available tools to coach and develop other Cashiers. The preferred qualification for a Head Cashier is 1+ years of retail experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process transactions accurately and efficiently at the point of sale
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring a seamless shopping experience for customers
• Proactively seek product knowledge to provide customers with information and identify sales opportunities
• Follow all company policies and procedures to minimize shrink and ensure a safe working environment
• Assist in the supervision, coaching, and training of other Front End Associates
• Provide first-level escalation for customer issues
• Participate in the training of new Cashiers and utilize available tools to coach and develop other Cashiers
