Travel Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Magnet Medical.
About the Job:
As a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using mammography equipment to detect breast abnormalities. Your expertise will help screen for breast cancer and other breast-related conditions, ensuring high-quality images for accurate diagnoses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Image Capture and Analysis:
- Position patients for optimal image capture, ensuring comfort and proper positioning.
- Operate mammography equipment to capture clear, detailed images of breast tissue.
- Maintain image quality by adjusting compression and taking additional views as needed.
- Patient Care and Comfort:
- Communicate effectively with patients, addressing concerns and providing reassurance during exams.
- Educate patients on the importance of regular mammograms and breast health.
- Monitor patient comfort and adjust procedures accordingly.
- Quality Control and Image Evaluation:
- Review images for clarity and completeness, ensuring they meet diagnostic standards.
- Work closely with radiologists to evaluate images and determine additional views or retakes required.
- Equipment Maintenance and Safety:
- Ensure proper operation and maintenance of mammography equipment, troubleshooting technical issues as needed.
- FOLLOW safety protocols and manufacturer guidelines for equipment maintenance and calibration.
- Record Keeping and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history, previous exam results, and current exam details.
- Document relevant patient information, such as imaging results, positioning, and special instructions from physicians.
- Collaboration with Medical Team:
- Communicate effectively with radiologists and physicians regarding images requiring further attention.
- Assist in explaining test results to patients, helping them understand next steps if further evaluation is needed.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Education: A degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- Certifications: Current certification as a Mammography Technologist (RT(M)).
- Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Benefits and Compensation:
We offer a competitive salary package, including an estimated annual salary of $85,000, based on 8-hour shifts and 40 hours per week, tax-free stipend amount to be determined, and comprehensive benefits package.
