Compliance Auditor Job Description

Aspirus Health is seeking a highly skilled Compliance Auditor to join our team in Wausau, WI. The successful candidate will assist the Vice President and Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer in developing, coordinating, and supporting the Compliance Program's Monitoring and Auditing activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement compliance monitoring and auditing activities to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
  • Conduct education, investigations, audits, and monitoring of internal processes and controls to identify and mitigate compliance risks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement compliance-related projects and initiatives.
  • Stay up-to-date with federal and state healthcare compliance-related laws and regulations, including the Stark, Anti-Kickback, False Claims, HIPAA, HITECH, and state privacy laws.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of compliance risk areas associated with the healthcare provider industry, including documentation, coding, billing, and exclusions.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or other advanced degree preferred.
  • A minimum of two to five years of experience in a healthcare setting relative to the size and scope of the organization.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Healthcare compliance preferred.
  • CHC/CHPC certification within 2 years.
  • Knowledge of federal and state healthcare compliance-related laws and regulations.
