Job Summary

Summit Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating complex machinery to produce high-quality aerospace parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate 3-5 axis CNC mill and lathe machine cells to produce complex machined parts.
  • Perform in-process inspection of machined products, requiring basic competencies in shop math and hand measuring tools.
  • Conduct basic deburr operations and perform preventative machine maintenance, including coolant and lube levels and area cleanliness.
  • Work safely under functional safety guidelines, including PPE and equipment interaction.
  • Load and unload product to be machined in a number of fixtures and operations.
  • Protect machines and machined product by following processes and procedures.
Requirements
  • Basic experience working with mechanical processes and methods, including hand tools and light equipment.
  • Introductory competence in shop math, including working with fractions and decimals.
  • Basic knowledge of inspection tools and their proper use.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and mechanical application regarding nuts and bolts.
  • Basic knowledge of part holding methods and procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of deburr tools and methods.
  • The ability to interact with computers and CNC controls at a basic level.
Preferred Qualifications
  • GED or High School diploma preferred but not required.
Work Schedule

Available shifts include:

  • 1st shift: Monday through Thursday, 7am to 5:30pm, with optional overtime on Friday and Saturday.
  • 2nd shift: Monday through Thursday, 5:30pm to 5:30am, with a shift differential of $1.00.
  • 5th shift: Friday through Sunday, 5:30pm to 5:30am, with a shift differential of $2.50.
