Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide care and monitor patients throughout the dialysis process, including pre-treatment, during treatment, and post-treatment.
  • Prepare dialysis machines and their components for patient treatment.
  • Assist in patient transportation and accurately record vital signs such as weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rate.
  • Communicate the dialysis procedure and the operation of the hemodialysis machine to patients to alleviate any concerns.
  • Inspect and maintain the access area (fistula, graft, or catheter) and ensure equipment settings meet safety standards.
  • Initiate patient treatment as per physician directives and monitor for any adverse reactions or equipment malfunctions.
  • Support inventory management and supply stocking within the dialysis center.


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • A minimum of three months of experience in dialysis, phlebotomy, or as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Patient Care Assistant (PCA) is preferred.
  • CPR certification is required within a specified timeframe after hiring.
  • Ability to distinguish primary colors, validated by passing a color vision test.
  • Successful completion of our dialysis training program, demonstrating competency within a designated period after hiring.
  • Must meet national certification requirements as approved by the Center for Medicaid/Medicare Services (CMS).
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
  • Proficient in English, with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Basic computer skills are essential, with proficiency in clinical applications required within a specified timeframe.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time and tasks effectively.
  • Problem-solving, analytical, and effective communication skills are necessary.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • Interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with patients, staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Capacity to multi-task efficiently and professionally.
