Radiation Therapist Job Summary

The Radiation Therapist will administer radiation therapy treatments to patients under the direct supervision of a radiation oncologist. This role requires accuracy in positioning the beam of radiation to correspond with the designated tumor volume and delivering the prescribed dose. The ideal candidate will have a graduate degree from an accredited radiation therapy technology program, ARRT certification, and a valid state license for radiation therapy.

Responsibilities

Administer radiation therapy treatments to patients under the direction of a radiation oncologist
Accurately position the beam of radiation to correspond with the designated tumor volume
Deliver the prescribed dose of radiation therapy
Maintain accurate records of patient treatment parameters
Participate in clinical instruction of newly hired therapists and students
Assist in maintaining patient appointment schedule and submitting correct billing information

Qualifications

Graduate degree from an accredited radiation therapy technology program
ARRT certification
Valid state license for radiation therapy
