Atlantic Health System is looking for a dedicated Part-Time Environmental Services Technician I (Housekeeping) to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the Environmental Services cart is stocked with the necessary cleaning supplies, with all containers properly labeled and dated.
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitization of floors, walls, patient rooms (including restrooms), public restrooms, and office spaces.
- Maintain adequate paper supplies in all restrooms.
- Manage waste disposal, transport soiled linens to the designated area, and distribute clean linens to patient areas and storage locations.
- Exhibit proficiency in safety protocols concerning bloodborne pathogens, needle stick prevention, fire safety, and patient satisfaction, adhering to OSHA regulations and maintaining necessary records for compliance.
- Demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn new tasks while fostering a collaborative environment with colleagues.
- Utilize basic computer skills for electronic communication and application navigation.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required or must obtain within two years of employment.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English to ensure a safe environment for all patients.
- Ability to perform basic math functions and follow detailed written or verbal instructions.
- Capable of working effectively under time constraints.
- Regular exposure to varying temperatures and the ability to stand for extended periods, as well as lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in housekeeping within a healthcare setting is preferred.
