Responsibilities:
  • Medication Dispensing: Accurately dispense prescription medications to patients, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Patient Counseling: Provide comprehensive guidance on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions to promote optimal health outcomes.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations, maintaining a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Controlled Substances Management: Manage controlled substances responsibly, maintaining accurate records and adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Staff Training: Train and mentor pharmacy staff to uphold best practices, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Collaborative Care: Collaborate with healthcare providers to enhance patient care, fostering strong relationships and coordinating effective treatment plans.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess, optimizing pharmacy operations and minimizing waste.
  • Insurance Processing: Efficiently handle insurance claims and reimbursements, ensuring prompt payment and resolving any issues in a timely manner.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries and concerns professionally and promptly.
Requirements:
  • Valid Pharmacist License: Possess a valid pharmacist license as per state regulations.
  • Doctor of Pharmacy Degree: Hold a Doctor of Pharmacy (Ph.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: Preferably 3-5 years of experience in a pharmacy setting, demonstrating expertise and a commitment to excellence.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of Pharmacy Laws: In-depth knowledge of federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations.
  • Pharmacy Management Software: Proficiency in pharmacy management software, utilizing technology to optimize operations and improve patient care.
