Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team of technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.
- Delegate tasks effectively, manage workload distribution, and maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Oversee the diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of a wide range of construction equipment, including but not limited to excavators, bulldozers, loaders, and compactors.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues, and develop appropriate repair plans.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
- Conduct regular safety meetings, inspections, and training sessions to promote awareness and prevent accidents.
- Implement quality control measures to ensure that all repairs and maintenance activities meet industry standards and customer expectations.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment maintenance history, repairs performed, and parts usage using digital and/or paper-based systems.
- Generate reports on equipment status, repair costs, and operational efficiency to support decision-making processes.
- Proven experience in a similar role within the construction equipment industry, with a strong understanding of equipment mechanics and repair techniques.
- Technical knowledge of various construction equipment types and their components, including engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
- Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team of technicians.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with team members, clients, and suppliers.
- Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other software tools for inventory management and reporting.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment.
- Certification or training in equipment maintenance and repair, such as ASE certification or manufacturer-specific training programs, is preferred.
