Position Overview:

The Resident Transition Specialist is essential in ensuring a smooth and welcoming transition for new residents entering our independent living community. This role is responsible for orchestrating all elements of the move-in process, guaranteeing that prospective residents experience a seamless welcome. The Specialist will serve as a key liaison among new residents, their families, and various departments within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Move Coordination:

  • Provide comprehensive information about the community, supporting the marketing team and resident service coordinator regarding amenities and services.
  • Assist in scheduling appointments and managing the distribution of informational packets and marketing materials.
  • Support the marketing team with events as necessary.
  • Ensure that all required paperwork and documentation are completed accurately and promptly.
  • Conduct apartment inspections.
Move-In Process:
  • Facilitate an initial walk-through and renovation selection with new residents.
  • Collaborate with contractors and construction teams to manage renovation requests.
  • Gather quotes for resident pay requests and discuss them with residents.
  • Coordinate with maintenance and housekeeping teams to ensure units are ready for move-in.
  • Schedule and oversee activities on move-in day, including coordination with moving companies as necessary.
  • Welcome new residents on their move-in day and provide an orientation to the community, including introductions to key staff and an overview of community amenities.
Post-Move Support:
  • Conduct follow-up visits with new residents to ensure they are adjusting comfortably.
  • Address any concerns or issues that may arise during the initial transition period.
  • Facilitate connections with community resources and social activities to encourage integration into the community.
Documentation and Reporting:
  • Maintain accurate records of all interactions and transactions related to the move-in process.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to the Director of Marketing regarding the status of pending and completed move-ins.
  • Monitor and report on resident satisfaction, identifying areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in customer service, sales, or a similar role.
  • Experience in a senior living or real estate environment preferred.
Schedule:

Monday through Friday

Some weekends or later hours may be required.
