KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general cleaning tasks in resident suites, communal areas, and designated support spaces, consistently meeting or surpassing Sunrise's quality benchmarks.
- Manage the collection, cleaning, and redistribution of community laundry.
- Support Care Managers and Department Coordinators with resident care as needed.
- Collaborate with the community team to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and promote Risk Management initiatives; adhere to safety protocols.
- Follow safety procedures at all times, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire safety measures, and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
- Be aware that team members may encounter blood or bodily fluids, with potential exposure to hazardous materials and infectious diseases.
- Actively engage as a team member, committed to achieving collective goals.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to deliver housekeeping and laundry services in a resident-focused environment that meets or exceeds Sunrise's quality standards.
- Genuine desire to work with seniors.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in organizational and time management abilities.
- Exhibit sound judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work semi-independently, adhering to community protocols and demonstrating initiative in completing assigned tasks.
- Capability to perform duties amidst frequent interruptions.
- For those driving a Sunrise vehicle, compliance with the Driver job description and understanding of essential safety and regulatory duties is required.
