Commercial Lender

A community-focused bank is seeking an experienced Commercial Lender to join their team. This opportunity is ideal for a community-minded individual who appreciates the flexibility and excellent culture this community bank provides.

• Review customer financial condition by obtaining credit reports and other necessary documents to assess their ability to repay loans.
• Participate in developing lending and deposit business for the bank, calling on clients to expand existing business and prospects to expand the bank's client base.
• Monitor existing loan portfolios to maintain a high-quality asset base, maintaining up-to-date client files and all loan documentation.
• Collect standard bank fees on all loans and assist in the collection of past due loans.
• Assist customers with loan-related questions and concerns, independently managing intermediate or moderately complex business/commercial loan credit underwriting and loan structures.

• Four to six years of combined credit underwriting, lending, business development, and sales experience.
• A college degree in finance, accounting, and/or banking or equivalent work experience in the banking industry.
• Completion of the first level of Advanced Commercial Lending School, or Graduate Banking School, or Certified Community Lender Certification.
• Above-average experience in analyzing business financial statements and assessing the viability of businesses.
• Solid communication and PR skills, above-average computer skills, and the ability to learn and proficiently use related lending software programs.
• Ability to handle multiple projects with varied deadlines, strong attention to detail/analytical skills, and willingness to be involved in civic and/or professional associations.
