About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join the US Foods, Inc. team as a Commercial Transportation Driver. As a driver, you will be responsible for delivering food products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.

Main Responsibilities
  • Drive company trucks to deliver food products to customers, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Manage customer interactions, including resolving any issues or concerns related to delivery.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections to ensure the safety of the vehicle and its occupants.
  • Unloading products from the trailer using manual lifting and carrying techniques, as well as operating pallet jacks and two-wheelers.
  • Verify accuracy of delivery with customers and obtain proper signatures upon completion.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A valid CDL Class A license issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications.
  • At least six months of commercial driving experience, preferably in the food and/or beverage delivery industry.
  • The ability to lift/carry/push/pull 20 to 80+ lbs. of product repetitively during each shift.
  • Comfortable driving and working in inclement weather conditions with frequent stops (10+ per shift).
  • Familiarity with the FMCSA Clearinghouse and the ability to register for the database.
