We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Nursing Adjunct Faculty member to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a Clinical Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in our nursing program, providing a safe and supportive learning environment, and contributing to the development of our curriculum.
Key Responsibilities- Teach and evaluate students in a variety of nursing courses, including fundamentals, childbearing, and med-surg.
- Develop and implement lesson plans, assessments, and evaluations that align with our curriculum and accreditation standards.
- Provide individualized instruction and feedback to students, addressing their strengths and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement clinical experiences, simulations, and other learning activities.
- Contribute to the development and revision of our nursing curriculum, ensuring it remains current and relevant.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and other activities that support the growth and success of our students and faculty.
- Active, unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state.
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing.
- At least two years full-time equivalent practice as a Registered Nurse in a clinical setting.
- Evidence of current practice in area of teaching assignment.
- Demonstrated positive human relations and communication (oral and written) skills.
- Ability to work well as a team member in an instructional unit.
- Ability to communicate and articulate concepts in an organized manner both verbally and in writing.
