We are seeking a skilled RN Outpatient Cardiovascular Nurse to join our team at Wellstar Vinings Health Park in Smyrna, Georgia.
About the Role:The RN Outpatient Cardiovascular Nurse will be a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team, ensuring that patients, families, and significant others receive individualized high-quality, safe patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide age-appropriate, patient-specific care that addresses biological, emotional, psychological, physical fitness, and educational needs of patients/family.
- Collaborate with system care partners, including cardiologists, health psychology, diabetes education, and other wellness programs, to ensure patients have access to all areas in the continuum of care.
- Develop individualized goal-oriented care plans, central to the success of each patient in the Cardiac Rehab program.
- Maintain a safe environment for patient care, based on understanding of clinical/technological advances in nursing practice.
- Direct assessments, evaluation, and monitoring for all patients undergoing cardiac stress testing and/or cardiac rehab exercise.
- Consult with physicians as needed, based on medical status of patient.
- Document patient information in electronic medical record.
- Maintain strictest confidentiality concerning patient's medical and personal information.
- Work closely with medical, nursing, and ancillary staff to provide quality and safe care.
- Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing: Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing.
- Minimum 5 years nursing experience, including sufficient clinical and management background to ensure competence in nursing practice and basic management functions.
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
- Ability to develop goal-oriented care plans for patients.
- Minimum 2 years cardiac nursing experience.
