  • Division Leadership:

Accountable for the strategic oversight of the Subsurface Utility Engineering Division. Manages financial resources, client partnerships, and business growth initiatives. Orchestrates and directs operational activities, providing comprehensive leadership to the Division while ensuring effective collaboration with other departments and project teams.

  • Project Oversight:

Tasked with overseeing SUE projects. Plans, manages, budgets, and designs work that encompasses all conventional aspects of subsurface utility engineering. Guarantees the highest standards of quality and financial viability. Collaborates with team members to assess and refine data in accordance with organizational standards.

  • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Division Leadership:

Engages closely with the Marketing Team to analyze market dynamics and report on project backlog. Cultivates new client relationships and project opportunities. Maintains project timelines, reporting, and revenue projections. Assigns tasks and evaluates team performance. Ensures clarity and communication of roles within the Division.

Offers technical guidance, advice, and peer evaluations on projects. Monitors and enhances the technical skills of team members. Implements quality assurance protocols and reviews for Division initiatives.

  • Project Oversight:

Technical Expertise:

Employs AutoCAD/MicroStation and various software tools. Tracks project timelines and financial plans. Engages with project team members and client representatives. Prepares technical documentation and specifications.

Administrative Duties:

Evaluates project scopes and deliverables. Participates in client and planning discussions. Coordinates research efforts and manages invoicing for supervised projects.

Quality Assurance:

Reviews final outputs for thoroughness and precision. Oversees drafting personnel.

General Requirements:

May necessitate travel. Requires exceptional communication abilities and a professional demeanor.

  • EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline. A minimum of 5+ years of experience in SUE. Professional Engineer license in Louisiana is mandatory.

  • LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY:

Capable of reading and analyzing technical documents, composing reports, and effectively communicating with clients and colleagues.

  • MATHEMATICAL ABILITY:

Competent in performing mathematical calculations and interpreting numerical data.

  • REASONING SKILLS:

Utilizes common-sense reasoning to execute instructions and resolve issues.

  • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Involves sitting, manual handling, verbal communication, and occasional standing, walking, and lifting. Specific vision capabilities are required.
