Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Charge Nurse to join our Surgical Services team at Wellington Regional Medical Center. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to our nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and promoting a safe and supportive work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assume shift responsibility and accountability for the planning and provision of direct and indirect nursing care to patients, families, and care partners.
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary team members, direct and facilitate nursing staff in obtaining safe and optimal health care outcomes.
- Support activities that meet the facility vision, mission, and goals.
- Provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team.
- Demonstrate Service Excellence standards at all times.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program. BSN preferred.
- Minimum of one year full-time or three years part-time experience in acute care specialty nursing. One to three years supervisory experience preferred.
- BLS (current upon hire)
- ACLS, PALS, NRP, and/or required specialty training or course completion (current upon hire).
- Current Florida nursing license.
- Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s) required by the facility.
