Irving Knight Group is a leading commercial general contracting firm seeking an experienced Senior Preconstruction Manager to lead their estimating department on projects across Florida.

Compensation: $170,000 to $210,000 (DOE) + bonus + additional benefits. This salary range takes into account the average cost of living in Miami, Florida.

Job Description:

The Senior Preconstruction Manager will oversee all aspects of preconstruction, including estimating, budgeting, and scheduling, to ensure projects meet financial and timeline goals. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading Preconstruction Efforts: Oversee preconstruction activities to ensure projects meet financial and timeline objectives
  • Developing and Managing Estimates: Prepare and manage detailed estimates, bid packages, and budgets for multifamily and commercial projects
  • Collaborating with Stakeholders: Work closely with clients, architects, engineers, and project teams to review project scopes and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks in the preconstruction phase, ensuring projects are set up for success from the start
  • Vendor and Subcontractor Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other partners to ensure competitive pricing and high-quality work
  • Market Analysis: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, material costs, and market conditions to ensure accurate and competitive estimates
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and develop preconstruction staff, fostering a culture of accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration

Must-Have Requirements:

  • Experienced estimating multifamily residential projects valued north of $100M
  • Experienced estimating commercial projects, including healthcare, hospitality, and educational projects
  • Experience leading and managing teams of estimators
  • Deep foundation experience required
  • Experience with Owner Contracts, inclusive of AIA 102, 201, and Consensus 500
  • Experienced with CM Delivery Method; IPD experience highly preferred
