CNH Industrial is seeking a skilled Welder Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for welding components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions using GMAW or GTAW.
Key Responsibilities- Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions utilizing GMAW or GTAW.
- Prepare all material surfaces to be welded in accordance with cleanliness and bevel requirements.
- Cut aluminum extrusions to length as needed using saws.
- Detect faulty operation of equipment or defective materials and notify supervisors.
- Examine workpieces for defects and ensure conformance with specifications.
- Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade.
- Chip or grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter, using hand scrapers or power chippers, portable grinders, or arc-cutting equipment.
- Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations.
- Mark or tag material with proper job number, piece marks, and other identifying marks as required.
- Maintain welding equipment.
- Inspect completed work to ensure quality requirements are met.
- Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts, using cutting torches, and hand tools.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job, including the ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Aluminum welding experience - 1+ years.
- Completion of an apprenticeship and/or certification.
