Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse - Radiology to join our team under the indirect supervision of the Director of Imaging Services. The ideal candidate will perform nursing functions for patients in the radiology department, conducting assessments, developing care plans, implementing and evaluating patient care.

The successful candidate will work closely with the healthcare team to ensure exceptional patient care and efficient completion of diagnostic and interventional studies. They will administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians and monitor the care delegated to non-licensed personnel.

Responsibilities
  • Perform nursing assessments, develop care plans, and implement patient care in the radiology department.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient completion of diagnostic and interventional studies.
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians and supervise non-licensed personnel.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain a commitment to providing excellent patient care.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess a current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree is preferred, but not required. You should have 1-3 years of nursing experience, with a preference for critical care or imaging experience.

Additionally, you will need to obtain Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications within the specified timeframe.
