Expeditor Job Description

At San Pedro Fish Market, we are seeking a skilled Expeditor to join our team. As an Expeditor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and timely flow of orders from the kitchen to the guest.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the KDS screen to orchestrate the flow of plates and trays coming from the kitchen to the guest.
  • Ensure all plates and trays are clean, presentable, and properly garnished.
  • Facilitate excellent communication between the kitchen and FOH crew.
  • Ensure food is served in accordance with proper safety standards.
  • Anticipate the guest's needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency.
  • Maintain appropriate sauce and garnish pars in accordance with the par sheet and business needs.
  • Adapt to changing guest volume with a sense of urgency.
  • Keep an immaculate expo station that is clean and clear of food and debris.
  • Perform work tasks calmly and effectively under stressful conditions and multi-task efficiently.
  • Promote an atmosphere of teamwork by assisting co-workers.
  • Uphold the Company's service standards and KOF Teamwork Responsibilities.
  • Perform opening and closing duties, side work, and ensure checklists are completed accurately.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a safe working environment for crew and guests.
  • Comply with all city, state, federal, and Company regulations, sanitation guidelines, and safety policies and promptly report violations or concerns to the General Manager.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or relevant experience.
  • Prior experience running Expo or relevant kitchen experience preferred.
  • Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred.
  • Current Food Handler's Card must be maintained.
