As a Patient Care Specialist on the Urology/Nephrology unit at Taylorville Memorial Hospital, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care to individuals undergoing surgical and medical treatments. About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse who can lead our team with confidence and expertise. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in urology/nephrology nursing, with the ability to provide complex care to patients with end-stage renal disease and postoperative transplant needs. Your exceptional communication skills and calm demeanor will be essential in supporting patients and their families during this challenging time.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care, including medication administration, treatment for end-stage renal disease, and postoperative transplant care

• Lead our team in delivering high-quality patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and effective communication among healthcare professionals

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive care plans that address the unique needs of each patient

• Educate patients and families on treatment options, medication management, and self-care techniques

Requirements:

• Current RN licensure in the State of Illinois

• BLS/CPR certification per hospital policy

• Ability to position and transfer patients safely, with gross coordination sufficient to perform other patient care duties as required

• Capacity to withstand prolonged periods of standing and perform difficult manipulative skills such as IV insertion and IM injections

Taylorville Memorial Hospital offers a competitive salary range of $84,000 - $114,000 annually, depending on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
