About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Patient Care Associate to join our team at Glens Falls Hospital. As a Patient Care Associate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first-level patient care, including promoting hygiene and mobility, measuring and recording vital signs, and responding to patient/family needs and requests.
  • Assist and support physicians/nurses during routine procedures and treatments, and report all observations, changes in patient condition to responsible RN for timely, appropriate evaluation and response.
  • Prepare hospital rooms, change patients' bed sheets, pillows, and turn or reposition patients in their beds, deliver meals to patients, and assist with feeding, bathing, and toileting needs.
  • Listen to patients' concerns, record them, and report them to a nurse, and provide patient companionship when needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
  • Medical terminology a plus.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required; can be obtained after hire.
  • Patient care experience strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
