Job Overview

Insight Global is seeking a Process Safety Management Specialist for a prominent Chemical Manufacturing organization.

This individual will become part of a collaborative team consisting of six professionals, including another PSM Specialist, a Product Steward, Process Engineers, and a Senior Process Engineer.

Reporting directly to the Process Safety Manager and under the guidance of the Director of Safety, this role is pivotal in executing and upholding the PSM and RMP programs in alignment with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage Process Hazard Analyses (PHA) and Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA).
• Conduct Facility Siting Studies.
• Develop and refine written Safety, Health, and Environmental (SHE) and PSM procedures and documentation.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule approximately every five weeks.

Work Schedule

This position operates onsite Monday through Friday from 6:45 AM to 4 PM, following a 9/80 work schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience in Chemical Manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Process Safety Management.
• Proficient in facilitating PHAs and conducting training for field personnel.
• Skilled in Root Cause Analysis and Incident Investigation related to safety.
• Experience in reviewing and managing Management of Change (MOC) programs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experienced with IPRISM Relief Device Software.
• At least 5 years of experience in Process Safety Management.
