About the Role:
American Structurepoint is seeking a skilled Investigative Engineer to join our Investigative Group in Columbus, OH. As a key member of our team, you will assist senior staff in performing forensic investigations, developing designs for structure repair and restoration, and producing technical reports.
Responsibilities:
- Assist senior staff in conducting forensic investigations and physical condition assessment studies
- Develop designs for repairing or restoring existing structures, including wood, masonry, concrete, and steel
- Produce technical reports and utilize AutoCAD and/or Revit to create digital drawings and models
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited engineering school
- AutoCAD and/or Revit experience preferred
- Engineering intern certification (passed NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering {FE} exam) highly preferred
- Reliable transportation to and from office location
- Strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and adaptability
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 50 lbs
- Ability to climb ladders and scaffolding, work from heights, walk roofs, access crawl spaces, and other areas of limited accessibility
