About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Apria Healthcare LLC. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals in their homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide instruction and guidance to patients and their caregivers on the proper use of respiratory equipment and care procedures.
  • Conduct clinical assessments and tests, including pulse oximetry, ETCO2, spirometry, and vital signs, to ensure accurate patient care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Operate and maintain various types of respiratory care equipment, including oxygen therapy, nebulization therapy, apnea monitoring, and ventilation.
  • Perform routine patient follow-up contacts to monitor progress and address any concerns.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training sessions to stay up-to-date on the latest respiratory care techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program for respiratory therapy.
  • Registration or certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • Current RCP license in the state of practice (or states that the location covers) if that state requires an RCP license to allow the practice of respiratory therapy.
  • Current CPR Certification.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least one year of related experience in respiratory therapy.
  • Bilingual skills (reading, writing, verbal).
Work Environment

The Respiratory Therapist will work in a variety of settings, including patient homes, clinics, and hospitals. The work environment will require the ability to travel to different locations and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

The Respiratory Therapist will be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow infection control protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
