Position Summary
General Purpose
The Facility Cleaning Specialist is responsible for a range of tasks aimed at ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of KPC facilities. This role includes assisting with the management and distribution of clean linens and uniforms.
Key Responsibilities:
The primary duty of the Facility Cleaning Specialist is to deliver exceptional service to all clients consistently. Additional responsibilities encompass maintaining the cleanliness of office spaces, healthcare facilities, and educational institutions. To achieve these objectives, the Facility Cleaning Specialist performs cleaning duties in various areas, including offices, patient rooms, restrooms, hallways, dining areas, and any other locations requiring attention. Cleaning tasks include dusting light fixtures, ceilings, walls, and furniture, as well as vacuuming carpets and mopping floors. The Specialist may also be responsible for restocking supplies (such as drinking glasses and writing materials), rearranging furniture, setting up tables and chairs for events, and operating cleaning equipment. Adherence to safety protocols and wearing protective gear as mandated by the work environment or regulations is essential. Furthermore, the Facility Cleaning Specialist may assist in training and coordinating the activities of other cleaning staff as needed.
Position Qualifications
Candidates should possess a combination of education and experience that equips them with the necessary knowledge and skills for this role. A typical qualification pathway includes:
Education
Less than High School
Experience/Requirements:
On-the-job training is preferred, along with a basic understanding of cleaning practices.
Availability:
Must be available to work on weekends and holidays (mandatory).
OR BASED ON EXPERIENCE LEVEL:
· No prior experience is required.
· Must comply with state labor regulations if operating cleaning equipment.
(Full-time/Night 8-hour Shift) Weekend and holiday availability is required.
