Position Overview:


Nouryon is seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Process Optimization Specialist.


Key Responsibilities:
As a Process Optimization Specialist, you will be responsible for:
  • Delivering professional engineering support services, including collaboration with technical representatives and comprehensive project oversight.
  • Executing process troubleshooting and optimization for all operational processes within the facility.
  • Maintaining technical proficiency in company processes and aligning objectives with other facilities.

In this role, you will:
  • Design and implement enhancements to processes, equipment, and systems.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and apply optimizations effectively.
  • Communicate efficiently with personnel across various departments, coordinating with Operations, Industrial IT, Plant Engineering, and Maintenance.
  • Maintain necessary documentation and adhere to management system requirements.
  • Provide training to employees as required.
  • Analyze reports and data, coordinating responses as necessary.
  • Represent the facility in technical discussions with external entities.
  • Engage with operations extensively and provide off-hour support when needed.
  • Develop and maintain emergency response knowledge and HSES expertise related to the position.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
  • A Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • The ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical documents.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in using personal computers and relevant software.
  • Capability to apply advanced mathematical concepts and operations.
  • Skills in problem definition, data collection, and drawing valid conclusions.

Physical Requirements:
The physical demands of this position include:
  • Regularly standing, walking, sitting, and using hands for various tasks.
  • Occasionally lifting and moving weights up to 100 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities including close and distance vision.

Work Environment:
