We are seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team at THE PEGGS COMPANY, Inc. as a Cart Repair Specialist. This is a unique opportunity to work with a variety of shopping carts and equipment, utilizing your mechanical and welding skills to ensure our customers receive top-notch service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Travel to customer locations to troubleshoot and repair Cart Containment Security Systems, pressure wash and repair rolling racks & carts used by grocery and retail stores.
  • Utilize wire feed welding skills to repair and maintain shopping carts and equipment.
  • Work well in indoor and outdoor conditions, with frequent exposure to natural outside conditions, including early morning and afternoon conditions.
  • Collaborate with service crew members to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a related field, such as welding, maintenance, or repair.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs and push/pull carts weighing up to 65 lbs.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Working Conditions:
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with frequent travel to customer locations.
  • Exposure to welding, steam cleaning, and other chemicals.
  • Work in a team environment with regular communication with service crew members and supervisors.
