Job Summary

Vertis Therapy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team on a PRN basis. As a PRN Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of patients and provide high-quality care in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluation and Treatment: Conduct thorough functional assessments of patients, develop and implement individualized treatment plans, and provide evidence-based interventions to address deficits in self-care skills and abilities.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with nursing staff, patients, and families to maximize patient outcomes, provide education and training on exercises and therapeutic procedures, and facilitate referrals to community resources.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives, respond to results of medical record audits, patient/referral source satisfaction surveys, and regulatory requirements.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with industry developments, attend continuing education opportunities, and maintain clinical accuracy.
Requirements
  • Education and Licensure: Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy or Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy with five years of direct practice experience, current license/certification in the state of practice.
  • Skills and Competencies: Demonstrated competency in applying principles, methods, materials, and equipment used in Occupational Therapy, excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, adequate computer skills, and ability to assess patient needs and develop comprehensive plans of care.
