Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Department Leader to join our team at Omaha Children's Hospital. As a Pharmacy Department Leader, you will be responsible for providing leadership and direction to the pharmacy department, ensuring the effective and efficient provision of pharmaceutical care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and direction to the pharmacy department, including staff development, policy and procedure development, and quality assurance activities.
  • Coordinate operational and clinical activities of the pharmacy department with other departments of the hospital, including education, policy and procedure development, and quality assurance activities.
  • Provide specialized consultation with other healthcare professionals in the development of drug-related treatment plans, assessment of drug therapy, outcomes, and identification and resolution of drug-related problems.
  • Manage staff pharmacists, pharmacy residents, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy interns, university-based clerkship students, and other support personnel.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college or university or Pharm D. degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a hospital pharmacy, with at least 1 year of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Current and valid Nebraska Pharmacy license and BCLS - Basic Life Support certification.
