Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Algebra Instructor to join our team at Albuquerque Public Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Algebra to high school students and creating a supportive learning environment that fosters academic growth and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Provide individualized instruction and support to students who require additional assistance
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment
  • Stay up-to-date with curriculum developments and best practices in mathematics education
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
  • Valid New Mexico Teacher's license with endorsement in Mathematics
  • Experience teaching Algebra to high school students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Education or related field
  • Experience with differentiated instruction and technology integration
  • Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation
