Responsibilities:
- Supervise a team of production staff and ensure efficient operation of production lines.
- Review production schedules and plans to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Coordinate with production managers to optimize production processes and improve quality.
- Plan and implement production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
- Monitor and analyze production reports to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and maintain accurate records of production activities.
- Participate in shift transition meetings to ensure smooth communication and handovers.
- Address worker grievances and escalate issues to production manager and HR as necessary.
- Compile and analyze production data to inform business decisions.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in production or a related field.
- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or minimum of three years' related experience and/or training.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Self-directed, goal-oriented, and flexible, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to read and interpret production schedules, inventory reports, and other documents.
- Proficient typing and computer skills, including knowledge of inventory software, order processing systems, and spreadsheet software.
Work Environment:
The physical demands of this role include regular sitting, standing, and walking, with occasional lifting and moving of up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
