Job Summary:

The Physician Assistant will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients, performing physical exams, diagnosing conditions, developing treatment plans, and providing health counseling. You will work under the direction of a physician, assuming total care of patients and following established standards, procedures, and practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and treat patients within prescribed parameters, ordering appropriate tests and treatments as needed.
  • Perform complete, detailed, and accurate patient histories, reviewing patient records to develop comprehensive medical status reports.
  • Order laboratory, radiological, and diagnostic studies appropriate for the patient's complaint, age, race, sex, and physical condition.
  • Complete physical examinations and record pertinent data in acceptable medical forms, making medical diagnoses and instituting therapy or patient referrals as needed.
  • Arrange hospital admissions and discharges at the direction of the supervising physician, performing hospital rounds and recording patient progress notes.
  • Transcribe and execute specific orders at the direction of the supervising physician, compiling detailed narrative and case summaries.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent: Required
  • Graduate from an accredited school/college of Physician Assistants: Required
  • Two years' primary care or allied health experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Physician Assistant (PA) licensure in state of practice: Required
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification: Required

The estimated base pay for this position is $139,004 to $208,505. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through years of experience, differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
