Job Title: Housekeeper

Join our team at SR COMPANIES LLC as a Housekeeper, where you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and comfort of our residents. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for ensuring the community is kept in an orderly, clean, and sanitary condition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow established cleaning schedules to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Perform daily dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of all common areas.
  • Deep clean resident rooms according to schedule.
  • Clean administrative offices as scheduled.
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
  • Clean carpets and mop all floors upon request.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment for all residents.
  • Ensure a dignified and caring atmosphere for residents, families, visitors, and associates.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to resident requests for assistance.
  • Communicate effectively with residents in a language they can understand.
  • Maintain a safe and secure working environment.
  • Practice good body mechanics and safe working habits.
  • Report safety hazards immediately to supervisor.
  • Provide assistance to associates when requested or required.
  • Participate in emergency situations and inclement weather.
  • Work as a team player with other associates and management.
  • Comply with attendance and call-off policy.
  • Attend and participate in trainings, in-service, and mandatory meetings.
  • Wear clean and appropriate dress according to dress code policy.
  • Refrain from discussing resident issues with families and visitors.
  • Comply with HIPAA regulations.
  • Provide hands-on assistance to nursing staff when needed.
  • Participate in leisure activities provided to residents.
  • Serve and assist residents in the dining room.
  • Take on special projects or assignments outside of regular duties.
Qualifications:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Language Ability: Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and taste or smell. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to bloodborne pathogens.
