Job Title: Swimming Instructor

At Mesabi Fit, we're seeking a skilled Swimming Instructor to join our team. As a key member of our aquatic team, you'll be responsible for delivering high-quality swimming lessons to individuals and groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging swimming lessons that cater to diverse skill levels and learning styles.
  • Provide expert guidance, encouragement, and motivation to swimmers, promoting a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • Plan, organize, and conduct practice sessions that are both fun and challenging.
  • Enforce safety rules and regulations, ensuring a secure swimming area for all participants.
  • Monitor the swimming area and respond promptly to emergencies, prioritizing the well-being of swimmers.
  • Evaluate swimmers' skills and performance, adjusting coaching techniques to meet their unique needs.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest swimming techniques, technologies, and philosophies, applying this knowledge to enhance your coaching.
  • Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and colleagues to provide information and answer questions.
  • Maintain accurate records of swimmers' progress, tracking their development and achievements.

Requirements:

  • At least one year of aquatic experience, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality swimming lessons.
  • Current American Red Cross Water Safety Certificate or Current Lifeguard Certification, CPR, and First Aid Certification.
