The Music Ministry International is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contemporary Worship Leader Pianist Keyboardist or Guitarist to join our team. As a key member of our worship team, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating worship services, recruiting and leading a volunteer worship team, and providing instrumental and accompaniment music as needed.
Responsibilities:- Lead and coordinate worship services, including selecting music, coordinating with the worship team, and ensuring a smooth and engaging experience for the congregation.
- Recruit and lead a volunteer worship team, including selecting and training team members, and ensuring they are equipped to perform at a high level.
- Provide instrumental and accompaniment music as needed, including playing piano, keyboard, or guitar.
- Develop a music order for each worship service, coordinating with the worship team and audio/visual technicians to ensure a seamless experience.
- Provide multimedia worship slides in ProPresenter format for congregational use.
- Submit fund requests as required for resources and materials needed to perform duties.
- Two years of experience directing, coordinating, leading, and performing modern contemporary style of worship and music for a Protestant church/chapel in the last two years.
- Active membership/attendance at a Protestant church/chapel.
- Understanding of music theory and ability to transpose music to different keys.
- Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English.
- Ability to effectively accomplish assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
- Familiarity with and ability to use computer programs such as Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and ProPresenter.
The environment in which this contract is implemented is a religiously pluralistic and sensitive arena of numerous faith groups and denominational traditions. The Worship Leader accomplishes the terms of the contract in compliance with the mission requirements and standards set forth and defined by the Department of the Air Force and the Air Force Chaplain Corps.
Background Checks:A criminal history background check shall be initiated and completed for all Worship Leaders, Worship Leader substitutes, and program volunteers working with children under 18 years of age.
