Job Description

Ryder System is seeking a skilled Truck Driver CDL A Regional to join our team. As a Regional Truck Driver, you will be responsible for delivering goods to various locations across the country.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules
  • Detecting and eliminating or minimizing safety hazards
  • Loading and unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Pass a Ryder Drug Test
  • Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
  • Pass a DOT physical
  • Pass a Ryder road test
  • Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
  • Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures

Deliveries:

  • Deliver SOLO to: MS, IA, NE, KS
  • Tractor Type: Sleeper, and Day Cabs
  • Trailer Type: Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed 48', 53'
  • Equipment: Electric and Manual Pallet Jack
  • Ryder will Train you on all equipment needed to be successful
  • Freight: Touch – Varies
  • Cannot accommodate auto restriction
  • Would cover multiple Ryder accounts

Trucks:

  • Trucks are 36 months or newer
  • Include 24/7 Roadside Maintenance
  • Company Drivers fuel up the trucks at over 800 Maintenance Facilities Nationwide
