Job Overview

Swanson Rink is seeking an experienced Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering group, you will be responsible for designing and implementing control systems for various engineered systems.

About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled professional with expertise in control system engineering. Your primary responsibilities will include collaborating with mechanical and electrical system engineers to develop system and equipment control strategies, selecting control system sensors and devices, and developing control system network architecture.

Responsibilities
  • Develop system and equipment control strategies in collaboration with mechanical and electrical system engineers.
  • Select control system sensors, output devices, controllers, and system control valves.
  • Design and develop control system network architecture.
  • Prepare control system schematic diagrams, network architecture diagrams, and other installation detail diagrams.
  • Analyze and respond to contractor's Request For Information (RFI's).
  • Conduct site visits to observe construction progress and final inspection/punch list.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering from an ABET accredited four-year college or university. Additionally, you must have successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam or be willing to pass the exam within the first 60 days of employment. Registration as a Professional Engineer is also required, or willingness to become licensed when eligible.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated at $90,000 - $140,000 per year, based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant.
