Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) to join our team as a Land Survey Manager. The successful candidate will lead, mentor, and manage technical staff, including survey field crews and draftsmen, to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Oversee project budgets and schedules, ensuring timely and on-budget delivery.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage technical staff, including survey field crews and draftsmen.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform quality assurance and control for all assigned projects.
  • Client Communication: Manage client communications and ensure project goals are met.
  • Survey Operations: Conduct survey research, computations, and draft reviews, including ALTA surveys, right-of-way plans, easement plats, and construction stakeout.
  • Business Development: Develop fees, write proposals, and solicit new business opportunities.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety and QA/QC standards.
Requirements
  • Licensure: Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (California).
  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience in land surveying and team management.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or related field.
  • Skills: Strong project management and organizational skills, proficiency with AutoCAD, Trimble equipment, and other surveying tools (laser scanning, drones a plus).
  • Personal Qualities: Excellent communication and leadership abilities, valid driver's license and clean driving record.
