Occupational Therapist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping our clients/patients/residents achieve their goals and maintain their independence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess clients/patients/residents and design occupational therapy treatments to help them develop, maintain, and recover their ability to perform daily tasks.
  • Evaluate physical, cognitive, developmental, and psychosocial abilities of clients/patients/residents and develop realistic therapy goals.
  • Administer appropriate occupational therapy programs and provide education to clients/patients/residents to enhance their understanding and improve functional outcomes.
  • Document client's/patient's/resident's information for evaluation and provide ongoing education and training to peers in the area(s) of expertise.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in the state of practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for health care providers certification.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
