CDL Truck Driver

About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled CDL truck driver to operate a heavy-duty vehicle on transfer routes, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of waste management services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for safely operating a truck, performing pre- and post-trip inspections, and completing all necessary documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safely Operate a Heavy-Duty Truck: Ensure compliance with OSHA and DOT regulations, maintaining a clean and safe vehicle at all times.
  • Perform Pre- and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough checks using a standard DVIR form, noting any issues for corrective review and repair.
  • Communicate Effectively: Report unsafe situations or service calls to the Route Manager or Dispatch before attempting service.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Participate in scheduled training, briefings, and meetings as required by the Route Manager, working closely to improve route efficiencies and identify problem or unsafe accounts.
Requirements:
  • Commercial Drivers License B (CDL): A requirement for this role, applicants must be 18 years old.
  • Clean Driving Record: Acceptable driving history is essential for this position.
  • Background Check and Physical Exam: Successful completion of a pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check, including previous employment verification and motor vehicle record review.
Salary and Benefits:

Expected hourly rate: $27.00. Eligible employees receive a competitive total compensation package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and short-term disability. Stock purchase plan, company match on 401K, paid vacation, holidays, and personal days also available.
