Job Title: Brake Press Operator

Job Description

Aerotek is seeking a skilled Brake Press Operator to join our team. As a Brake Press Operator, you will be responsible for operating a brake press machine effectively, zip tying wires, and taking accurate measurements.

Responsibilities:

  • Operate brake press machine with precision and accuracy.
  • Perform electric and hydraulic connections and plumbing with attention to detail.
  • Conduct basic welding tasks and install consoles and pumps.
  • Perform large assembly installations such as tanks and saddles.
  • Touch up paint on assembled parts and outfit body electrical components.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience with press brake operation and ability to read service and repair manuals.
  • Ability to read blueprints or schematics and possess good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and proficiency in reading a tape measure and calculating differences in measurements.
  • Ability to weld in flat and vertical planes (all position welding) is preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Comfortable with electrical troubleshooting and experience with wrenching.
  • Ability to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds at times.
