Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
  • Case Preparation: Prepare case-specific documents, including applications, petitions, cover letters, and other documents as required.
  • Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research and investigation to support immigration cases.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the lead attorney and the team.
  • Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients to guide them through the legal process.
  • Documentation Management: Maintain and update documentation, and organize files by establishing critical deadlines, and adhering to them consistently.
  • USCIS/NVC Coordination: Contact USCIS/NVC regarding cases as needed.
  • Document Drafting: Draft motions, briefs, table of contents, memoranda, and other documents for immigration court.
  • Supporting Documents: Write declarations, affidavits, and letters of support related to immigration matters.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience as an Immigration Paralegal or similar role is preferred, with at least one year of experience.
  • Certification/Academic Qualification: Certification or associate degree as a Paralegal is preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Familiarity with legal procedures, immigration terminology, and the court system is preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills, highly organized with document management experience, excellent research skills, and ability to multitask and work well under pressure.
