About the Role


Atrium Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse Supervisor to join our team at Carolinas Medical Center (CMC). As a key member of our nursing leadership team, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care and assisting with daily operations to ensure the highest quality patient outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the manager to develop and implement nursing care plans that meet the unique needs of our patients
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of nursing staff to ensure efficient and effective patient care
  • Conduct regular rounds to assess patient satisfaction and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient flow and throughput
  • Participate in performance improvement activities to enhance the quality and safety of patient care

Requirements


Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing with a current RN licensure in the appropriate state. Minimum two years of nursing experience, with previous management experience preferred. BSN required, with RN candidates for external hire or internal promotion without BSN enrolled in a BSN program within 1 year of Hire/Transfer date and completing program within 3 years of enrollment. BLS required per policy guidelines. Appropriate professional certification (either clinical or leadership) required within 1 year of eligibility for professional certification exam.

Physical Requirements


Work requires walking, standing, sitting, lifting, reaching, stooping, bending, pushing, and pulling. Must be able to lift and support the weight of 35 pounds in handling patients, medical equipment, and supplies. Must speak and understand English fluently. Intact sense of sight, hearing, smell, and touch. Finger dexterity. Critical thinking and ability to concentrate.
