Your collaboration with the Security Operations Center (SOC) team will be crucial in monitoring, identifying, and mitigating potential threats, thereby safeguarding the security and integrity of our systems and sensitive information.

The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in operational procedures or incident management, complemented by relevant certifications and the capability to secure a Final TOP SECRET SCI Clearance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee security alerts and events to pinpoint possible cyber security incidents.
  • Execute initial assessments and analyses of security events to gauge their severity and potential ramifications.
  • Investigate and address security incidents following established protocols and procedures.
  • Work in conjunction with cross-functional teams to contain and resolve security incidents, minimizing operational disruptions.
  • Record incident specifics, including analysis results, actions taken, and suggestions for enhancements.
  • Provide timely updates and reports on incident status to relevant stakeholders, including management and technical teams.
  • Engage in incident response drills and tabletop exercises to bolster preparedness and response capabilities.
  • Stay updated on emerging threats and vulnerabilities, sharing insights and recommendations with the broader team.
  • Enhance incident detection and response processes through automation, tools, and knowledge sharing.
Essential Qualifications

  • Hold and maintain at least one active certification: Security+ or ISC2 CISSP, or another comparable certification approved on a case-by-case basis.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or a minimum of one year of experience in operations or incident response.
  • Capability to achieve a Final TOP SECRET SCI Clearance.
  • Must fulfill SCI eligibility requirements with no waivers or conditions.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to analyze and interpret security event data.
  • Familiarity with security technologies and tools, including SIEM platforms, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint security solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical information effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
