We are seeking a skilled Pantry Chef to join our kitchen team at Gerry's Restaurant and Bar in Union City. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality cold food items, including salads, sandwiches, and appetizers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and present cold food items, such as salads, sandwiches, and appetizers, to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Follow recipes and portion sizes to ensure consistent, high-quality meals.
  • Restock workstations, check inventory levels, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment.
  • Offer suggestions for new cold food menu items and contribute to the development of our culinary offerings.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure seamless food service and maintain a positive, supportive team environment.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of cold food preparation techniques and ability to accurately follow recipes.
  • Ability to comply with food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Flexibility to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience as a pantry cook or a similar role in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
