Job Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a vital role in providing patient-centered care in our Med/Surg department. As a member of our interprofessional team, you will work collaboratively to deliver high-quality care, promote a culture of innovation, and support the growth and development of our team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect data on patients' physical condition and nursing needs, and assist in implementing the plan of care.
  • Collaborate with the interprofessional team to provide the highest quality of care and clinical outcomes.
  • Demonstrate clinical expertise in the provision of care in the clinical specialty assigned.
  • Identify ways to improve the patient's experience of care, streamline care processes, and lower costs while promoting quality.
Qualifications
  • Current Wisconsin LPN licensure.
  • American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Work Environment

Frequent exposure to sharp objects and instruments. Occasional exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. Standing and/or walking for extended periods of time. Transporting patients and/or equipment from one location to another; little likelihood for injury if proper body mechanics and procedures are followed.

Position requires compliance with department specific competencies.
