Job Overview

Position: Wooden Crate Fabricator

The role involves constructing wooden crates and platforms through precise measurement and cutting of timber materials, followed by the assembly of components using staples and nails.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the inventory of materials necessary for crate construction
  • Measure and cut wood to specified dimensions for crate assembly
  • Assemble wooden boards according to design specifications using staples and nails
  • Utilize machinery to sand and clean surfaces prior to applying finishes and decals
  • Apply protective coatings to completed crates
  • Review departure lists to establish a prioritized work schedule
  • Ensure all tools are available and maintained in optimal working condition at the workstation

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure to 1/16th of an inch
  • Preferred experience of one to three years in a related field
