Job Summary

Walgreens is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Pharmacy Technician to join our team. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting our pharmacists in providing exceptional patient care and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications.
  • Process prescriptions, including verifying patient information, checking for potential interactions, and ensuring accurate labeling.
  • Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including patient information and medication inventory.
  • Assist with inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest developments in pharmacy practice and technology.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • 6 months of experience in a retail environment; prior work experience with Walgreens preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, pharmacists, and other team members.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
  • PTCB certification preferred, but not required.
